Sowohl in der Darstellung als auch in der Interpretation. Die 26-jährige Analysa Castellano aus San Antonio, Texas zeigt uns wie es geht. Eine Freisprechung von jeglichen Interpretationsregeln und das Auskosten der Kunst in ihrer reinsten Form. Es wird nichts vorgekaut, sondern farbenfroh aufgefordert. Dabei nutzt die Künstlerin die Farben in einer solchen Intensität, dass die Werke einen expressiven Effekt auf den Betrachter bekommen. Ihre Intention dabei? Dich zum Nachdenken zu bringen! Sie lässt uns die komplette Freiheit in ihre Gemälde hineinzufinden und sie ohne Einschränkungen zu interpretieren. Hierbei gibt es kein richtig oder falsch, denn es ist der Charakter des/der Betrachters/in, ihre/seine Stärken, Ticks, Ansichtsweisen und Gefühle, die dadurch automatisch mit einfließen und damit selbst Teil des Werkes werden. Die Malerei war schon immer ein Teil von Castellano: „I cannot recall a time where I wasn’t making something. It’s always been a part of me and it hopefully always will be.“ Das Verständnis, dass ihre Kunst nicht nur einen großen Wert für sie selbst, sondern ebenfalls für ihre Mitmenschen hat, bekam die Schaffende erstmals durch einen Kunstmarkt, der der mexikanischen Künstlerin Frida Kahlo gewidmet war. Denn Analysas Kunst hatte vollen Erfolg und wurde komplett ausverkauft. Diese Errungenschaft lässt sie seit 2016 weiterleben und stellt seitdem ihre Werke aufstrebend zu Verkauf. Dabei nutzt sie Fotos aus ihrem Bekanntenkreis, eindrucksvolle Impressionen von Social-Media-Plattformen oder Berühmtheiten der vergangenen Zeiten als Inspiration. Mit ihrer sehr realistischen Darstellungsart, die zugleich einen expressiven Stil beinhaltet, portraitiert die Künstlerin spielerisch die verschiedensten Menschen. Besonders einzigartig ist neben ihrem Stil die Farbeinsetzung, bei der nichts dem Zufall überlassen wird. Jede einzelne Farbe wurde vor dem Auftragen aufs Ausführlichste durchdacht und geplant. Die Ölfarben finden ihre Stärke in dem Kontrast zwischen Vordergrund und Hintergrund des Dargestellten. Sie kreiert einen Warm-Kalt-Kontrast, der das Bild auf eine realistische Weise ins Leben ruft und den Eindruck entstehen lässt ein expressives Foto vor sich zu haben. Die  beabsichtigte Einarbeitung von komplementären Farben heben das Gesicht hervor und geben dem Gesamten eine erstaunliche Tiefe. Eine Weite, in der man jedoch nicht verloren ist und die vom Betrachtenden mit seiner/ihrer Interpretation abgerundet und vollkommen gefüllt wird. Eine Kunstform, in der jede Auffassung des Gesehenen akzeptiert wird, lässt Freiraum der zunächst zu einem Gefühl der Überforderung führen kann und anschließend die Fantasie ankurbelt. Dass Analysa mit der Betrachtungsweise ihrer Kunst keine Regeln kennt, macht bewusst, dass wir meist in jedem Aspekt unseres Lebens an ein System gewöhnt sind. Ein System, das vorschreibt und souffliert. Seine ganz eigene Ansichtsweise mit einbringen zu können, macht aus dem/der Beobachtenden ein/e Teilnehmer/in, ein/e Mitspieler/in beim gezielten Herumexperimentieren. In dieser Form ebnen ihre Portraits den Weg in die Kunst und zu sich selbst zu finden.

Color is freedom

Both in representation and in interpretation. The 26-year-old Analysa Castellano from San Antonio, Texas shows us how it's done. A release from any rules of interpretation and the savoring of art in its purest form. Nothing is pre-chewed, but colorfully challenged. The artist uses the colors with such an intensity that the works have an expressive effect on the viewer. Her intention here? To make you think! She leaves us the complete freedom to find our way into her paintings and interpret them without restrictions. There is no right or wrong but rather it is the character of the viewer, her/his strengths, tics, views and feelings that automatically flow in and thus become part of the work itself. Painting has always been a part of Castellano: "I cannot recall a time where I wasn't making something. It's always been a part of me and it hopefully always will be." The understanding that her art is not only of great value to her, but also to others, first came to her through an art market dedicated to the Mexican artist Frida Kahlo. For Analysa it was a great success since her art was completely sold out. Following this achievement, she sales her work for five years now. The artist uses photos from her circle of acquaintances, catchy impressions from social media platforms or celebrities of the past as inspiration. With her very realistic style of representation, which at the same time includes an expressive style, the painter playfully portrays a wide variety of people. Particularly unique, in addition to her style, is the use of color, where no detail is left to coincidences. Every single color was thought out and planned before being applied. The oil colors find their strength in the contrast between foreground and background of the sitter. She creates a warm-cold contrast that brings the painting to life in a realistic way, giving the impression of having an expressive photograph in front of you. The complementary colors highlight the face and the intentional incorporation of nuances of the color wheel gives everything an amazing depth. A vastness that doesn’t lead to a feeling of being lost but is rather filled with the viewer’s emotions and rounded up by his/her interpretation. Every conception of the seen is accepted in her art work, which at first can provide a feeling of being overwhelmed but eventually stimulates the own imagination. The fact that Analysa's way of looking at her art knows no rules makes us aware that we are mostly used to a system which is inherent in every aspect of our lives. A system that prescribes and souffles. Being able to bring in one's very own point of view turns the observer into a participant, a co-player in an aimed experimentation. In this form, her portraits pave the way to art and to finding oneself.
