Als natürlichster Filter. Anna Letson ist eine in Seattle aufgewachsene 24-jährige Fotografin. Die Künstlerin lebte fünf Jahre in New York und pendelt momentan zwischen beiden Städten. Ihre Laufbahn als Fotografin begann schon im Kindesalter. Sie kreierte ihr Interesse durch das Rumspielen an der Kamera ihrer Mutter, formte ihre Botschaft im Shooten ihrer Freunde, fundierte ihr Wissen mithilfe der Universitätszeitung und nutzt diese Eigenschaften mittlerweile für New Yorker Modelagenturen. Dabei definiert sie das Wort „Model“ in „Mensch“ um und hebt durch Fotoreihen wie dem Anxiety-Projekt die rohe Schönheit am Individuum hervor. Letson schafft durch den spielerischen Lichteinsatz und den ausgeklügelten Winkeln die Einzigartigkeit in ihrer reinen Natur darzustellen und gleichzeitig durch die Fokussierung auf Themen wie Angststörungen Gemeinsamkeiten zu schaffen. Es wird durch die Fotografin eine Kunstform geschaffen, die den/die Betrachter/in seine/ihre eigene Zerbrechlichkeit akzeptieren lässt und den Dargestellten bei dem Festhalten ihrer Zerbrechlichkeit Selbstbewusstsein gibt: „I wanted to show how complicated it can be, but also try to de-stigmatize it, that it’s not something that we necessarily need to hide, but rather understand and empathize with.“ Neben diesem Projekt nutzte die Künstlerin den Pressepass ihrer Universität, um große Musiker/innen fotografieren und interviewen zu können und unterstützt heute kleine Künstler/innen bei ihren Visual Brands. Und obwohl Anna Letson noch so jung ist, stellt ihre Karriere und ihre Fotografie eine Vielfältigkeit dar, die sie sowohl an Frauen als auch Models schätzt. Eine Fotografie, die das Selbstwertgefühl festhält und dieses gleichzeitig stärkt! Denn ihr Ziel ist es, das Licht auf die Schönheit des Unterschiedlichen zu richten - sei es bezüglich dem Körperbau, des ethnischen Hintergrundes, des dargestellten Typus oder ähnlichem. Frauen sollen sich und ihre Power in der Unverwechselbarkeit erkennen und zelebrieren. Eine Fotografie, die keine Standards vorschreiben will, sondern Besonderheiten unterstreicht, sie akzeptiert, sie lebt und rühmt. Eine Fotografie, die keine Identität vorgibt, sondern sich als Mittel ansieht, um bereits die vorhandene Schönheit und den individuellen Charakter zu bekräftigen. Eine Erinnerung zu schaffen, die gleichzeitig die Gegenwart verändert, um für eine menschlichere Zukunft zu sorgen. 

Anna Letson steht für eine Kunst, die roh und leicht ist, in der die natürliche Ausstrahlung und die Persönlichkeit dahinter eingefangen wird. Der menschliche Aspekt soll hervortreten und nicht durch Kleidung und Accessoires verfälscht werden. Denn es ist der Mensch hinter ihren Fotos, der die Kleidung trägt und nicht die Kleidung an der sich der Mensch anpassen muss. The beauty of humanity 

As the most natural filter. Anna Letson is a 24-year-old photographer who grew up in Seattle. The artist lived in New York for five years and currently commutes between the two cities. Her career as a photographer began as a child. She created her interest by playing around with her mother's camera, formed her message in shooting her friends, established her knowledge with the help of the university newspaper and now uses these qualities for New York model agencies. In the process, she redefines the word "model" as "human" and highlights the raw beauty in the individual through photo series like the anxiety project. Letson manages to portray uniqueness in its pure nature through the playful use of light and sophisticated angles, while creating commonality by focusing on themes such as anxiety disorders. An art form is created by the photographer that allows the viewer to accept their own fragility and gives the sitter self-awareness in capturing exactly this: "I wanted to show how complicated it can be, but also try to de-stigmatize it, that it's not something that we necessarily need to hide, but rather understand and empathize with." In addition to this project, the artist used her university's press pass to be able to photograph and interview great musicians and supports small artists with their visual brands nowadays. And although Anna Letson is still so young, her career and her photography represent a diversity that she appreciates in both women and models. An art work that captures the self-esteem and strengthens it at the same time! Because her goal is to shine the light on the beauty of what is different - be it in terms of physique, ethnic background, type portrayed, or similar. Women should recognize and celebrate themselves and their power in distinctiveness. A photography that does not want to prescribe standards, but emphasizes particularities, accepts them, lives them and praises them. A photography that does not prescribe an identity, but sees itself as a means to affirm already existing beauty and individual character. To create a memory that at the same time changes the present to provide for a more human future. 

Anna Letson stands for an art that is raw and light, in which the natural radiance and the personality behind it is captured. The human aspect should stand out and not be distorted by clothes and accessories. Because it is the person behind her photos that wears the clothes and not the clothes to which the person must conform.
