Mit jedem Wort, das sie sagt und jedem Foto, das sie schießt. Mit ihren farbenfrohen Darstellungen von allen Menschen, die sich als Frau identifizieren, wird bei Lee Jameson Intersektionaler Feminismus in Großbuchstaben verbildlicht. Ihre Bilder versprühen Power, Selbstliebe und Stolz eine Frau zu sein, in einer solchen Fülle, dass es beim Betrachten wirklich schwer fällt zu entscheiden, wer bzw. was am besten ist: das Model, die Fotografin oder die Darstellung. Doch Lee macht es uns einfach und nutzt ihre Arbeiten als Beweis, dass man nicht wählen muss! Neben ihrem großartigen Talent wird uns gezeigt wie inspirierende Zusammenarbeit von Frauen geht. Sowohl die Verwendung von farbenfrohen Hintergründen, der Lichteinsatz als auch das Gezeigte unterstreichen den feministischen Charakter des Models und auch der Fotografin. Ein Blick reicht, um als Betrachterin die Selbstvertrautheit zu erlangen gesellschaftlichen Diskriminierungen nicht den minimalsten Platz einzuräumen und sich, seine Fähigkeiten als auch seine Geschichte zu zelebrieren. Kunstwerke, die zeigen wie einfach es ist zu inkludieren und wie verdammt gut es aussehen kann! 

Lee Jamsons Fotografie verbindet Farbe, Können und ein wichtige Botschaft auf spielerische Art und Weise. So sieht man auch in ihrer Serie für Magic Society namens Stay At Home eine humorvolle Herangehensweise, um auf psychische Probleme von Frauen infolge des Lockdowns aufmerksam zu machen. Eine Frau, die mit Partyhut und verschmierter Schminke schwungvoll in eine Torte greift und unter Mascaratränen ihren Kuchen aus der Hand verzehrt. Ein Bild, das einen erst zum Schmunzeln bringt und anschließend über all die Quarantäne-Geburtstagskinder nachdenken lässt, die sich aufgrund der Ansteckungsgefahr alleine fühlen. Eine Serie, die allen Gefühlswelten und -schwingungen Platz einräumt, von Wut über Traurigkeit bis zur Einsamkeit. Genau dies lässt uns auch die Kunst von Lee generell empfinden. Ein Emotionsspektrum zwischen der Aufforderung nach mehr Gleichberechtigung und Akzeptanz sowie eine Aufheiterung, die zum Nachdenken anregt. Sei es die Normalisierung von psychischen Problemen oder die Betonung der Stärke von sich als weiblich identifizierenden Menschen. Man schafft es durch den einzigartigen Charakter sich besser zu fühlen Empathie und Kampfgeist zu wecken. Die Betrachterin fühlt ein aufwärmendes Gefühl von Gemeinschaft zu den abgebildeten Frauen. Lees Fotografien zeigen: man ist nicht alleine! Egal in welcher Situation du dich befindest, wir fühlen mit dir und keine von uns wird aufgeben. Eine Kunstform, die das scheinbar Unmögliche miteinander verbindet und es unverschämt gut aussehen lässt. Die aufruft mehr zu inkludieren, ohne seinen Charme und seine Leichtigkeit zu verlieren. Und auch im gesamten Interview verkörpert die Fotografin diese Eigenschaften. Eine Frau, die ihr Talent dazu nutzt intersektionalen Frauen eine Plattform zu geben und es sich nicht nehmen lässt während des Interviews über die Talente und herausragenden Charaktere ihrer Models zu schwärmen. Lee Jamesons Fotos sind jeden Blick wert! Sie erhellen jeden düsteren Tag durch den farbenfrohen Hintergrund und die noch farbenfrohere Botschaft dahinter. Eine willkommene Kunst für jede Galerie und jedes Zuhause! Und auch wenn sie noch nicht internationalen Versand hat, so ist es eine Frage der Zeit bis ihre Kunst den Weg nach Europa findet.

This artist empowers!

With every word she says and every photo she takes. With her colorful depictions of all people identifying as women, Lee Jameson's Intersectional Feminism is illustrated in capital letters. Her images exude power, self-love, and pride in being a womxn in such abundance that it's really hard to decide who or what is best when looking at them: the model, the photographer, or the representation. But Lee makes it easy for us and uses her work as proof that you don't have to choose! In addition to her awesome talent, we are shown how inspiring female collaboration can be. Both the use of colorful backgrounds, the use of light and what is shown emphasize the feminist nature of the model and also of the photographer. One look is enough to gain the confidence to not accept even the smallest form of social discrimination. The viewer starts to celebrate herself, her abilities as well as her story. An art work that shows how easy it is to be inclusive and how damn good it can look!

Lee Jamson's photography playfully combines color, skill and an important message. So too, in her series for Magic Society called Stay At Home, we see a humorous approach to bringing attention to womxn's mental health issues as an effect of the lockdown. A woman, wearing a party hat and smeared makeup as a result of her tears, reaches into a cake and eats it out of her hand. An image that at first makes you smile, and then provokes thinking about all the quarantined birthdays spent feeling alone. A series that gives space to all emotional worlds and vibrations, from anger to sadness to loneliness. This is exactly what Lee's art makes us feel in general. A spectrum of emotions between a call for more equality and acceptance, as well as an exhilaration that makes us think. Be it normalizing mental health issues or emphasizing with the strength of people that are identifying as female. She manages to improve the viewer’s empathy and increases their fighting spirit through her unique use of humor. The recipient feels a sense of community towards the womxn depicted. Lee's photographs highlight the message: you are not alone! No matter what situation you are in, we feel for you and none of us will give up. An art form that combines the seemingly impossible and makes it look outrageously good. That calls to include more without losing its charm and lightness. And throughout the interview, the photographer also embodies these qualities. A woman who uses her talent to give a platform to intersectional womxn and never misses to gush about her models' talents and outstanding characters during the interview. Lee Jameson's photos are worth every look! They brighten up any gloomy day with the colorful background and even more colorful message behind it. A welcome art for any gallery or home! And even though she doesn't have international shipping yet, it's a matter of time before her art finds its way to Europe.
